You
© by Surangama Bose

You have too many eyes
I am yet to meet
Life makes you starve and overeat
As the seconds are blamed
You breathe being
The lovers
The strangers
So kind and cruel underneath

You crave for death
And cower in terror
You enslave yourself
A righteous warrior
Fighting for the selves you wrong
Then try to lure peace with a song

To the sound of desperate last breath
Of your innocence
Overpowered by the worldly selfish chaos
You dance unstirred
Almost like nature

Only if I could bribe time
Even with all my truth
To observe some more of you
A humble battered rebellion
In its ever youth

Perhaps, Consciousness, you are the limit
